The School of Computing, Informatics, and Decision Systems Engineering (CIDSE) at Arizona State University (ASU) is organizing a workshop focused on logistics and distribution topics to be held on November 5th, 2010 at the Arizona State University Skysong campus.

CELDi is an Industry/University Cooperative Research Center that supports research based on partnerships among industry, academia, and government.

CELDi’s mission is to provide integrated solutions to logistics problems through modeling, analysis and intelligent-systems technologies.

One of the main objectives of the workshop is to identify those problems of strategic importance to the key companies of the region. Some other objectives include:

  • Determine potential industrial members for the Center
  • Highlight the opportunities and challenges in the areas of engineering logistics and distribution
  • Create a space for interaction between the local industry, current and potential providers of logistics solutions
  • Discuss professional development gaps/opportunities at your organization in engineering logistics and distribution

The event will include participation from local industry, representatives from the National Science Foundation, faculty from the Ira A. Fulton School of Engineering and the W.P. Carey School of Business.
